One of the POP display trends——Virtual try on

In the article 2019 POP display trends mentioned that digital elements will become a new trend with the development of technology. In fact, there are already many digital elements that have applied to POP display products on the market.

Last year, I saw an automatic nail polish machine at the exhibition. Its principle is printing pattern on the nails then nails come out from the polish machine looks stunning. This machine attracts many women to its booth. The fresh product experience often attracts more people.

VR nail polish machine

Now that the VR nail polish experience machine has appeared. Play designed has partnered with Multi-brand beauty behemoth COTY to create the OPI digital nail trial the innovative free-standing units (FSU) with in-built AR technology. The AR technology tracks the hand that the consumer reaches into the machine. And according to the selected color, the screen shows that the hand of the consumer has applied the nail polish.

As we all know, nail polish is hard to remove, which makes the nail polish trial become a trouble. The fresh product VR nail polish machine eliminates time-consuming indecision and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Cosmetic virtual try on

Cosmetics are easier to try in brick-and-mortar stores than nail polish. But it still is trouble that every time a customer tries one cosmetic color, they need to remove it to try another one.

Recently, L’Oréal announces the acquisition of 100% of the Canadian company ModiFace. It is an internationally recognized leader focused on creating the most realistic AR try-on capability for the beauty industry. Their main product offerings provide the ability to perform beauty try-on simulations on live video and to track the face and facial features in precise detail. It tracks facial data and mirrors the effects of different cosmetics on the customer’s face, helping customers quickly to determine the right product for them. Custom AR Software Designed can be used on mobile phones APP, E-commerce, as well as smart mirrors in cosmetics stores.

Famous make-up brands such as Estee Lauder, Sephora, MAC, and Bobbi Brown have worked with Modiface to build virtual mock-ups in their physical stores or online stores.
